It is also used in products such as toothpastes, shampoos and shaving creams for its soothing and moisturizing properties.
The recommended dosage of Allantoin ranges from 0.1% to 1.5%. It can be incorporated into the water phase heated to 50°C, or added as a cold finish to emulsions.
Allantoin should be stored in a dry place, away from heat and light. Due to possible interactions, it is recommended not to store preparations containing Allantoin in metal containers.
